WOMEN’S MORNING RETREAT

If you’re a woman in your 30s, 40s or 50s, you could be feeling peri-menopausal as your body starts to go through its most important changes since puberty. It can be a challenging time, but it’s also the period in your life when the wisdom that you’ve accumulated as a daughter, sister, friend and mother comes to fruition. We’re often made to feel that the menopause is something to be kept secret or even to be ashamed of. Nothing could be further from the truth! The purpose of this Wise Change Morning Retreat is to help you embrace this transitional period in your life, and share your discoveries with other women.

The Retreat begins at 08h00 for 08h30 with a delicious light breakfast from Leafy Greens Café to help you focus on your body’s nutritional needs during menopause.

We’ll then move on to a discussion which will look at nutritional and lifestyle lessons (including supplements) and how these can be applied to support women’s bodies as they adjust to natural physical and hormonal changes. Learn how eating well can contribute to creating balance, and play a vital role in nourishing and protecting you during this uncertain period. We’ll also talk about how supplements can assist in harmonising your body and alleviating menopausal symptoms.

The Retreat will conclude with a vinyasa yoga practice designed specifically for transitioning powerfully and gracefully into menopause. Clara will lead a calm, restful and rejuvenating sequence of yoga poses and breathing techniques to heal the body on a hormonal level as you enter the second spring of your life. No yoga experience necessary, but please bring your own yoga mat.

Your Hosts - Jenny DeLuca is the founder of Casalinga Ristorante Italiano and has an inside track on eating well for life, and how to meet the nutritional demands of menopause.

Clara Woodburn is the yoga teacher behind Yoga Warrior, will reveal how yoga supports the endocrine system and helps regulate our hormones naturally, as well as protecting bone density and helping to alleviate many of the difficult symptoms of menopause: hot flashes, insomnia, anxiety and weight gain.

Clara and Jenny have both gained understanding of the aging process through their life experiences, and as the mother of daughters they love the nurturing circle of life that flows through communities of women.
